Synthetic underlayment per ASTM D226, ice barrier per ASTM D1970 at eaves in freeze-thaw climate zones. Manufacturer-certified installation locks in the full system warranty.

Flat Roofing
Flat roofs need special attention. Water doesn't run off, it sits. We install TPO, PVC, EPDM, and modified bitumen systems designed to handle ponding water in Iowa's climate.
Commercial Roofing
We install Carlisle SynTec TPO and EPDM membrane systems with full Carlisle manufacturer warranties. Our Clare commercial roofing crews are factory-trained and authorized. TPO seams are hot-air welded at 900+ degrees. The weld is stronger than the membrane itself. Ponding water? We install tapered ISO insulation to create positive drainage per NRCA guidelines.
Gutter Installation
Improperly sized gutters cause fascia board rot and foundation erosion. We calculate gutter capacity using the rainfall intensity formula: roof square footage x pitch factor x rainfall rate (inches/hr for Clare). Standard 5" K-style handles 5,520 sq ft of effective roof area. Bigger roofs or steeper pitches need 6" gutters with 3x4" downspouts. We hang with hidden hangers screwed into rafter tails every 24".
Roof Inspection
Our 27-point roof inspection covers: shingle condition, granule loss, nail pops, lifting tabs, ridge cap integrity, valley flashing, step flashing at walls, drip edge, pipe boot seals, vent function, soffit ventilation, gutter pitch, downspout capacity, fascia condition, decking (from attic if accessible), and visible signs of moisture in the attic. Written report with photos emailed same day.

Skylight Installation
Skylights bring natural light into rooms that don't have it. Bathrooms, hallways, closets. We install VELUX and Fakro fixed and vented skylights with proper flashing kits designed for asphalt shingle roofs.
